Kundapur Lighthouse

Kundapur also called Kundapura, is a coastal town situated in the Udupi district of the state of Karnataka. This town was known as Coondapoor while it was part of the erstwhile South Canara district of the Madras Presidency of British India. The kodi beach is one among the attractive tourist spot in Udipi district. The Kundapura Lighthouse is Located at the end of the Kodi Beach. Several local public and tourist are visiting the lighthouse regularly to see the aerial view of the nature from lighthouse top.The Lighthouse tower is Round shape Reinforced Cement Concrete(RCC) tower of height 31.5 mtrs.The tower also has gallery on top providing a good view of the beach.The Lighthouse serves as an aid to navigation to mariners and local fishermen.
