KILTAN LIGHTHOUSE (NORTH)
Located at the Northern tip of Kiltan Island and is about 2KM away from from Jetty and it is an unmanned station.In 1973 an oil lamp used to be regularly exhibited from a mast 6 m high fixed on a 9 m high masonry base. During the period 1975-76, a RCC lighthouse tower was constructed and DA gas equipment with 300mm drum optic was installed and commissioned on 31st January, 1976 and later gas flasher was replaced by ‘Jyoti Punj’ electronic flasher.Adjacent to the old tower,a new RCC tower constructed and installed with an Electronic flasher unit in the year 2011 and still it is giving an uninterrupted service to mariners navigating through Arabian sea.
