Menchal Lighthouse

The Menchal Island Lighthouse is a 30 Meter High GI trestle tower established in the year 2004. Menchal Island is an inhabitant island with area of 1.3 Sqm Km. Menchal Island Lighthouse is a remote unmanned lighthouse.. The Menchal lighthouse servers mainly the marine fisherman fraternity for ensuring safe navigation. The Menchal Lighthouse can be approached via Sea from Port Blair through a Departmental vessel or any chartered vessel upto anchorage Point and from anchorage point by dinghy upto shore.
