Betul Lighthouse

Betul is a coastal village located in South Goa District, situated near Madgaon city, Goa. The place is situated approximately 22 kms away from Madgaon railway station.The Sal river confluences into the Arabian sea near Betul.The village is also home to Betul Fort.The Fort was built during the regime of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Betul Lighthouse is octagonal shaped Reinforced Cement Concrete(RCC) tower of height 15 mtrs.The location is very rich with natural scenes and harmony. The nearest tourist spot is Betul beach.The beach is also popular fishing hamlet among the locals.
