NORTH BUTTON LIGHTHOUSE
Button Islands are a group of islands of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the island is located 74.0 km north to Port Blair town. . There is a lighthouse at the tallest hill 48 m (157 ft) on North Button Island, the unmanned lighthouse commissioned in 1983. 14-meter GI trestle Tower Painted black and White bands color scheme and has a LED flasher light powered by battery and solar panel. Accessibility to this lighthouse is only by sea route, commute by departmental vessel or any chartered vessel upto anchorage Point then use a mechanized dinghy up to shore then by walk to reach lighthouse.
