Shri N. Muruganandam presently holding the post of Director General of Lighthouses and Lightships, Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways, Noida.

Shri N. Muruganandam born on 10th May, 1969 in Chennai. He completed his B. Tech in Electronics and communication Engineering in the year 1991 from the University of Madras and he completed Master of Engineering in Electronics & Communications Engineering from ANNA University Madras in the year 1994. Shri N. Muruganandam also completed MBA in the year 2003 from the Indira Gandhi Open University Shri N. Muruganandam joined the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightship in the year 1994 (Date: 19th December, 1994) as Assistant Executive Engineer (Electronics) and posted under the Administrative Control of Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Cochin. He was promoted to the post of Deputy Director (Electronics) on 15th November, 2001 and posted in the Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Chennai.

He was promoted to the post of Director on 4th September, 2006 and posted in the Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Jamnagar (VTS). He was promoted to the post of Deputy Director General on 15th January, 2014 and posted in Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Chennai. During his service in the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships he serves in the various Directorates such as Chennai, Cochin, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Noida.
Shri N. Muruganandam joined as Director General on 11th October, 2021 in the Headquarters Office, Noida.
